Our warm congratulations to two of our mentors who become Officers of the Order of Australia in this year’s Queen’s Birthday Honours.
Barbara Cail AO received her honours for distinguished service to public health through advocacy and advisory roles for people with Alzheimer’s disease, to the advancement of social welfare and equity, and to the arts.
Barbara’s career in publishing led her to the Alzheimer’s Association where she joined the board and influenced many positive changes. Barbara is currently Chair of the Alzheimer’s Advisory Council. She was also the founder and a President of CEW.
Marg O’Donnell AO received her honours for distinguished service to public administration in Queensland (in particular in the arts sector) to the community through leadership roles in cultural, public health and social welfare organisations and to legal eduaction.
Marg was a Director General in the Queensland Government for six years and has held non-executive director positions across government, NFP and corporate organisations including Chair of Legal Aid, Queensland and Chair of the Breast Cancer Network of Australia.
