Wendy McCarthy AO received a standing ovation at the NAB Women’s Agenda Leadership Awards after being announced as the inaugural member of the Women’s Agenda Hall of Fame on March 7. The announcement was in recognition of her “groundbreaking career and long service in helping women achieve”.
Women’s Agenda publisher, Marina Go, said “we are all beneficiaries of her excellent work.” Carol Schwartz said she was an exemplar of a successful Australian business leader: focused, commercial, courageous and generous.
The tribute followed the announcement of the seven winners of the Awards – all of whom were talented, leading women who are driving change and inspiring others.
