International Womens Day

The ripple effect of women being given the same opportunities and economic security to reach their full potential is exponential. As UN Women highlight “when women are given equal opportunities to earn, learn and lead – entire communities thrive”.

We must always #CountHerIn. Invest in Women. Accelerate Progress.

In our work, we see the significant positive impact of enabling and supporting talented women in organisations to effectively lead and affect change. Organisations and teams with greater leadership diversity achieve better performance, have higher engagement and bring broader perspectives to decisions. By empowering, developing and strengthening skills, women can perform at their best, progress their career and build economic security.

Women who are not given these education or employment development opportunities have less choice, less pay and limited voice.

We know that persistence and advocacy is crucial to progress and today we thank and celebrate our network of mentors and coaches who remain vocal in removing the barriers, uplifting others and championing equal participation, pay and opportunity. They are role models, leaders and passionate advocates in their fields, pushing hard to ensure we #Count Her In: Invest in Women. Accelerate Progress.

In the spirit of uplifting, we’ve shared some observations on the key habits and skills that many of our most inspiring female change agents have embedded in their daily lives to help drive their success.

Let’s all look at how we can create opportunities and remove barriers in 2024.

This International Womens Day we celebrate the incredible women in our network, and share some key lessons we’ve learned as a result of our association with them. Our CEO Sophie McCarthy summarises six of the key things that these remarkable people do consistently in their lives and in their careers.
